A Juliet tomato is a hybrid, grape-like plant from the United States. It is a 1990 hybrid introduction and is popular because of its crack resistance. This F1 hybrid tomato variety is prolific ( produces a lot of fruits), disease resistant, holds well on the vine, and never splits easily. This variety can grow in clusters with at least 6-12 tomatoes per cluster, but sometimes they can be 18 tomatoes per cluster. Each tomato can weigh about 1 to 2 ounces. It is a very popular variety to be best used in salads, and can be eaten directly out of the hand, which is why called cherry tomatoes. They are the uniformly shaped tomatoes that have a pleasant and sweet flavor. They are also called mini-Romas, a saladette, because of their shape. Due to their sweet flavor, you can easily pair them with strong flavors in your salads or food.
